Project Description:
Upon knowing that the Children’s Home wanted to setup a library for the children to cultivate reading habit, the social contribution committee took up this challenge as our 3rd project with them.
The committee gathered the help of different volunteers for 4 hours a day, over a 4-day period, to setup the borrowing system as well as to decorate the library. The use of color code system makes it easier for children to borrow and return the books back to their respective shelves. Whereas the aesthetic side of the library was enhanced by the use of colorful beanbags, stools and wall decorations. The volunteers were happy that the less fortunate children have this conducive library to read and borrow books.
