Project Description:
Volunteers from 5 NEC subsidiaries in Singapore came together to bring the festive atmosphore of Chinese New Year to the Residents of Singapore Cheshire Home. The programme was fun-filled with laughter and enjoyment. First, we had a tea session for volunteers to get to know the residents better. This was followed with Bingo games where 6 prizes were given away to the first 6 Residents who completed a set of numbers.
The tempo was slowed with the volunteers assisting the Residents to make mandarin oranges. The residents were very satisfied with the handicraft which they had made. After that some of the groups began to play games like board games and jigsaw puzzle, while the others just spent time chit-chatting away.
Finally, the volunteers distributed goodie bag and ang pow (71 sets) to the Residents and bid them farewell with warm wishes for the Chinese New Year.
